Laal Singh Chaddha is an forthcoming Indian Hindi- language comedy- drama film directed by Advait Chandan and script written by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni. The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures. It's an sanctioned remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself is grounded on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name, the film stars Aamir Khan as the nominal character along with Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya( in his Hindi film debut).

 The adaption of Forrest Gump, passed a series of changes over a period of two decades, with Atul Kulkarni spending the first ten times conforming the script, and another ten times copping the remake rights. Aamir Khan bought the rights of the film in early 2018 with the help of Los Angeles- grounded patron and director Radhika Chaudhari and blazoned the film officially on 14 March 2019, with its title. 

 Laal Singh Chaddha has been mugged in further than 100 Indianlocations.Principal photography began in Chandigarh on 31 October 2019. Still product was halted in March 2020 owing to the COVID- 19 epidemic in India, before continuing duringmid-September 2020 in Delhi, due to which the film – originally listed for a Christmas 2020 release – was delayed. The film is listed for release August 11, 2022.
