Kuno is a National Park in Madhya Pradesh. This park was created in the year 1981, it is spread over 750 square kilometers.


Cheetahs brought from Africa released in Kuno National Park -


8 cheetahs have been brought to India today, September 17, from Namibia. Cheetah will be seen in India after seven decades. 70 years ago this animal disappeared from Indian forests. All these cheetahs will be brought to Gwalior by special charter flight. After that they will be brought to Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh by helicopter.A special place has been created for cheetahs in this sanctuary. September 17 is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and on this day he will release the cheetahs in a special place prepared for them.


The people working here are hoping that after the arrival of these cheetahs in Kuno National Park, tourists from all over India will come to see them and tourism will increase. The increase in tourism could lead to an increase in job opportunities for the locals. People working here said that a resort is being built on a two-acre plot here. The resort will have 14 rooms, a swimming pool, a restaurant and many other facilities for tourists.

Kuno National Park is a national park in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It was established in the year 1981 and is spread over 750 square kilometers. For those who love wild life, this place is no less than heaven. The grasslands here are bigger than Kanha or Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. In 2018, it was given the status of a national park.


Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh is a special place for all wildlife lovers. As soon as you enter here, you will see a variety of different types of trees as well as large grassy plains and lots of wildlife. A river called Kuno runs through the middle of this wildlife sanctuary, providing not only water supply. Irrigation in the forest also helps. Many species of wild animals and plants are found in this national park.

Kuno National Park has 3 entrances. But the most popular is Tiktoli Gate. Here, stay in a beautiful campsite near the Palpur Fort, overlooking the Coono River. This is the most beautiful part of this park. It has a panoramic view on rainy days. August to March is the best time to visit Kuno National Park.

This park has many species of flowers and animals. There are a total of 123 species of trees, 32 species of climbers & exotic species, 206 species of birds, 14 species of fish and 10 species of amphibians.

Spotted Deer or Chital, Sambar, Barking Deer, Charshingi, Nilgai, Chinkara, Black Deer, Indian Rabbit, Monkey and many more wildlife can be found here.


Who hunted the last three cheetahs?


At that time some villagers took their demand to the king. They told the king that a wild animal was attacking the people. The king went out with a gun to save his people. He killed three cheetahs in the forest. Maharaja Ramanuja actually killed three cheetahs but most of them did not know that he was hunting the last cheetah in the history of India. It is said that a cheetah was never seen in India after this. Then in 1952, the Indian government declared cheetahs as an extinct species.
