Multidimensional Poverty Alleviation:
1) Bihar - 51.9%
2) Jharkhand - 42.1%
3) Uttar Pradesh - 37.7%
Multidimensional Poverty Lowest:
1) Kerala - 0.71%
2) Goa - 3.76%
3) Sikkim - 3.82%
The index measures poverty levels in more than 700 districts.
International Population Science Institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Central Government this survey was conducted.
Among the Union Territories, Dadar and Nagar Haveli (27.36%), Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh (12.58%), Daman and Diu (6.82%) and Chandigarh (5.77%) are among the poorest Union Territories in the country.
Maharashtra ranks 17th among the poorest states. According to the report, 14.1598% of the total population of Maharashtra is poor.
